St. Charles Overview

St. Charles Hall, informally known as “Charlies” by students, was the first structure built when Carroll College opened its doors in 1909, and it stands stalwart over the whole of campus to this day. This turn of the century, four-story building originally held the dormitory, classrooms, dining hall, library, faculty offices, and residences for the entire College. Though its multipurpose functionality has diminished some in the last 100 years, St. Charles still serves academic, administrative, and residential functions, and it houses over two-hundred students in its Main and South wings. A building rich in character, St. Charles offers single, double, triple-, and even quad-occupancy rooms. No two rooms are exactly the same, but one constant remains: no matter where residents find themselves in the building, spectacular views of the mountains that surround the Helena area abound!
