Carroll College supports the efforts of all students in their goal of obtaining a higher education degree. While undocumented students are not eligible for federal financial aid, Carroll offers undocumented students who've been accepted for admission the opportunity to receive institutional financial aid. Students accepted for admission are evaluated for eligibility to receive institutional merit and need-based financial aid. Merit awards are offered to both incoming freshman and transfer students. Freshman merit awards are determined based on the applicant’s cumulative high school GPA and ACT or SAT test scores. Transfer student merit awards are determined based upon the applicant's academic-based college GPA.

See scholarship and more information for undocumented students.

Activity scholarships are limited to four years with the exception of athletics which is limited to five years. Note: Carroll College does not offer any institutional need-based grants or scholarships to students who choose to pursue a second undergraduate degree. Those students will only be able to borrow under the Federal Direct Stafford Loan Program as undergraduates. Find out more

In my senior year of high school I applied to fourteen different colleges. How did I narrow it down? Well frankly, I chose to tour the schools that offered the most financial aid. Between Carroll and one other university it was the kindness of the Helena community and the excellence of the nursing program that brought me here.

Coming home from my campus visit my friends and family could all tell that Carroll had my heart, and still does. Through a combination of scholarships and grants from Carroll and the support of many outside scholarships, the college my heart desired became affordable.

I have been blessed to work in the Financial Aid Office which has allowed me to see the countless resources Carroll’s financial aid office provides and I have personally witnessed the generosity of time and resources this office dedicates to us students.
