Center For Financial Planning Scholarships!-over 30 scholarships

The CFP Board Center for Financial Planning is currently accepting applications for over 30 scholarship awards that provide financial assistance to students pursuing the financial planning education required for CFP® certification.

 

Please spread the word about the available scholarships to individuals in your network who may be interested or are pursuing the education coursework in financial planning. Awards are available for both undergraduate-level and certificate-level education programs. The deadline to apply is April 3, 2022.

Envestnet Scholarship

  • Eligible Applicants: Candidates for CFP® certification seeking to complete an undergraduate or certificate-level CFP Board Registered Program who are from an underrepresented population within the financial planning profession (in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation) and who have a demonstrated financial need.
  • Scholarship Award: Up to $10,000 to students seeking to complete an undergraduate-level program and up to $5,000 to students seeking to complete a certificate-level program.

California Lutheran University Financial Planning Scholarship

  • Eligible Applicants: Candidates for CFP® certification seeking to complete California Lutheran University's online Master of Business Administration (MBA) or online Master of Science (MS) degree in Financial Planning, both of which qualify candidates to sit for the CFP® exam. Candidates must demonstrate financial need AND/OR be from underrepresented populations within the financial planning profession in terms of gender, race or ethnicity.
  • Scholarship Award: Up to $5,000 to students pursuing the MBA in Financial Planning and up to $3,500 for the MS in Financial Planning.

Financial Alliance for Racial Equity CFP® Certification Diversity Scholarship

  • Eligible Applicants: Black or African American candidates for CFP® certification seeking to complete an undergraduate or certificate-level CFP Board Registered Program and who have a demonstrated financial need.
  • Scholarship Award: Up to $7,000 to students seeking to complete an undergraduate-level program and up to $5,000 to students seeking to complete a certificate-level program.

Dowling and Yahnke Wealth Advisors Scholarship

  • Eligible Applicants: Candidates for CFP® certification seeking to complete an undergraduate or certificate-level CFP Board Registered Program who are from an underrepresented population within the financial planning profession (in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation) AND/OR who have a demonstrated financial need.

Edelman Financial Engines CFP® Certification Diversity Scholarship

  • Eligible Applicants: Candidates for CFP® certification seeking to complete a certificate-level CFP Board Registered Program and who have at least 2 years of experience in financial services. Candidates must be from an underrepresented population within the financial planning profession (in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, veteran status or sexual orientation) and have a demonstrated financial need.
