Transcripts

Transcript Requests

FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, requires that Carroll College obtain a signed request from a student before releasing any confidential information, including a student’s academic transcript. All orders must be placed online through the National Student Clearinghouse and paid by credit card.

Current students only

Currently enrolled students may download a PDF of their unofficial transcript through Carroll College Self-Service. After logging into Self-Service through Carroll Apps, select  "Academics" from the left-hand navigation and then choose "Unofficial Transcript." Unfortunately, this option is not available to alumni and former students.

Current students, alumni, and former students

Mailed transcript orders may be delayed 2 to 3 days before being mailed regardless of delivery method chosen. Electronic transcript orders (delivery method of PDF or Electronic Transcript Exchange) are encouraged during this time. Some electronic orders may also be delayed 2 to 3 days if "Needs Research" or "Hold for Restrictions" message is displayed after placing the order.

  1. Go to the National Student Clearinghouse transcript ordering site.
  2. You will need a valid credit card and email address to complete your order. You will also be required to provide your Social Security Number or Carroll College ID number.
  3. The site will provide instructions for placing your order, including delivery options and fees. See below for more information.
  4. To track the status of an order you have already placed, visit the National Student Clearinghouse transcript order status tool

You may order your transcripts using the following methods:

  1. PDF Transcripts
Electronic PDF Transcripts orders are the quickest method of delivery; however, it is the responsibility of the requestor to ask the recipient (college, employer, or school) if they accept electronic pdf transcripts as "official".

  2. Hold for Pickup
Hold for Pickup transcripts are sealed and printed on secure paper. If you select this option, the system will automatically generate an email stating your transcript is ready, however, this is a manual process which requires 1 to 3 business days for processing. You will receive an email from Carroll College when your transcript is ready for pickup.

  3. Mail
Mailed official transcripts are sealed and printed on secure paper and sent via U.S. Postal Service or by a contracted delivery courier service.

The base cost for a transcript is $10.00 no matter the delivery method (PDF, Hold for Pickup, or Mail). You will be able to review costs before completing your order.
