Kara Paul grew up in the rural County of Ka'u, on the Big Island of Hawai'i, while being homeschooled with Seton Home Study School. She attained her Associate of the Arts Liberal Arts degree at her local community college and then graduated from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo with highest honors and a double major in English and Communication. While attending college she worked part-time and had several paid writing jobs.
Prior to Carroll College, Kara wore many hats at Nā Leo TV, a public access television station in Hilo, Hawai'i. Her longest position there was Data Department Manager, where she oversaw the company's CRM and inventory database, established an online training program, and wrote mandatory yearly reports.
As the Senior Executive Assistant to the President of Carroll College, Kara works closely assisting the President to achieve his goals and serves as the liaison between Carroll College and the Board of Trustees.
Kara and her husband, Daniel, moved to Helena in 2020. They look forward to making new memories and finding new adventures in Montana and beyond.
