Carroll alumnus Garrett Ryerson '16, DVM, is a recent graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine having received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2020. While at Carroll, Garrett was an anthrozoology and biology double major. He currently practices in Bozeman and had this to share about his experience at Carroll:
During my time as a pre-veterinary student, Carroll College supported my professional development by not only providing a firm foundation in the biological sciences but also a multifaceted liberal arts education and hands-on experience through the Anthrozoology program. The Anthrozoology program allowed me the opportunity to acquire a well rounded approach to the world of veterinary medicine, studying animal behavior, traveling internationally for veterinary work and receiving one-on-one mentorship from Dr. Suthers. I would not be the veterinarian I am today if not for the incredible opportunities provided in joining the Carroll College Anthrozoology program.
