St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation has extended the due date for receipt of spring semester Nelles Nurse Scholarship applications to January 1, 2021. Nelles Scholarships are available to nursing students beginning the second semester of their sophomore year through the final semester of their nursing program if pursuing a bachelor’s degree. If students are pursuing an Associate’s degree, they are eligible to apply once they have been officially accepted into the Nursing program. Upon graduation, nurses who have received the scholarship are expected to accept full time employment at St. Vincent Healthcare in an acute care setting, making the Nelles Nurse program one of our most effective recruiting tools!
This year, the Nelles scholarships will be awarded to up to 35 recipients per semester, each of whom will receive $3,000, representing the largest scholarship award that the St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation offers. The goal of the Nelles Nurse Program is to attract the “Best of the Best” to St. Vincent Healthcare in an effort to set the highest healthcare quality benchmarks, and to retain outstanding nurses in Billings, Montana.
