A $500 College Scholarship
Picture the Magic provides advice, insight and information to families who want to make the most of their vacation, making their dream trip as magical as possible.
We believe there is true “magic” in providing stellar personal customer service. The ability to create a brand through unexpected acts of human kindness and service help differentiate the best companies in the world from all the rest.
Students currently studying Marketing, Business, Travel, Hospitality or Communications may be especially interested in this scholarship program, however focus in these fields is not required. A passion for serving a customer for the sake of delighting another human being is all you need.
General Terms of Participation
To apply for Picture the Magic’s “Magic of Service” Scholarship, please write and submit a 500-1000 word essay answering one or all of the following questions:
- How can exceptional companies increase consumer satisfaction and loyalty through superior customer service?
- How can businesses create a competitive advantage through customer service?
- What constitutes “magical” customer service?
Picture the Magic will select the college scholarship winner based on creativity and innovative thought displayed in the essay application. The scholarship winner will receive $500 to be used in any way toward college.
Eligibility and Creativity
Students enrolled in high school, college or university at any level may apply. Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States of America or have a valid student visa.
Application Process
Write an essay (500-1000 words) that fits the criteria listed above.
To submit your application for this college scholarship, email scholarships@picturethemagic.com with the following information:
- Legal first and last name
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Email address
- Name of school/college/university and proposed year of graduation
- Course of study/declared major
- Link to your essay (Google Docs preferred)
- Proof that you are a student (picture of student ID, grade transcript, etc)
By submitting your application, you are giving us permission to share your essay on our scholarship site or any other page on Picturethemagic.com. You also consent to its use in promotions, email campaigns or other marketing purposes.
Submission Deadline
The final date for submission is Dec 31, 2017.
We will select the winner by January 15, 2018 and mail payment in the form of check to your college by January 31, 2018.
College Scholarship Terms
The college scholarship amount will be given to the university or college where the winner is currently studying or enrolled. The money is to be used to further his/her education, including course-related expenses, books and supplies, housing, etc.
We will contact the scholarship winner by phone or email. If winner does not reply by the date specified, Picture the Magic reserves the right to cancel the scholarship offer and award it to another applicant.
This is an annual scholarship.
