Kate is currently pursuing her Master of Nursing in Leadership and Management at Aspen University, set to graduate in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Washington State University and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Wenatchee Valley College at Omak. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Montana with certifications in ACLS, ASLS, PALS, CPR/BLS Instructor, TNCC & CEN.
She serves as a Nursing Instructor at Carroll College, Helena, MT, where she excels in curriculum development and nursing education in leadership, psychosocial health, assessment & resiliency. Her career spans roles in emergency services, nursing administration, and surgical orthopedics, reflecting her commitment to nursing excellence and patient-centered care.
Kate is dedicated to advancing healthcare through education, consultation, and leadership in nursing. Her passion for improving patient outcomes and teaching future nurses underscores her proactive approach in the field.
Some of her current projects include:
- Developing and executing an annual Mock Mass Casualty that involves multiple community agencies and various programs at Carroll College.
- Developing and piloting a resiliency course for nursing students.
- Implementing a mentorship program in the traditional nursing track as well as the accelerated nursing track.
