WorldMontana Hosts Educators from China

On October 8-12, twelve educators from the People’s Republic of China, including representatives of minority education, principles and vice principals involved in multiple levels of Chinese education, visited Montana. Throughout their stay the delegates visited Flathead Reservation schools, Salish Kootenai College in Polson, Broadwater elementary school in Helena, and had a meeting with Michele Lewis, Director of International Admission and Student Services at Carroll College.

Our Chinese guests were hosted by Helena residents and students from Carroll College. Special thanks goes to Carroll College Director of the Artaza Center for Excellence in Global Education, Cheri Long and her family for wonderful food and great conversation and hospitality.

Thank you to the Carroll College Intercultural Student Network (ISN) for hosting three Chinese delegates for dinner on campus. ISN cooked a wide variety of foods. The purpose of this dinner was to give Carroll College students the opportunity to discuss the differences with the educational systems in the United States and China.
