We are thrilled to welcome our new Electronic Resources Librarian, Kaia Rosen, and our new Systems & Web Librarian, Collin Burkhart.
Kaia joined Carroll as our new Electronic Resources Librarian on September 3rd. Kaia graduated from Carroll College in 2019 with a BA in Sociology. In 2022, she received her MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. Before returning to Carroll in 2024, Kaia was the librarian for the Montana Department of Transportation, and worked with youth and young adults at Montana Legal Services Association. Kaia is our Electronic Resources Librarian at the Corette Library, and manages the selection, licensing, and accessibility of electronic resources like academic journals, e-books, and more.
Collin joined our Library Staff as of September 16th as our new Systems & Web Services Librarian. Collin obtained his Master of Science in Library Science (MSLS) degree from the University of Kentucky, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in communication from Montana State University Billings, and an Associate of Applied Science in Web Technology from Flathead Valley Community College. He previously spent five and a half years working at the Flathead Valley Community College Library as a Library Technician and their resident tech expert. Collin is the Systems and Web Services Librarian for the Corette Library. He maintains the library’s website, and other important library systems including the online library catalog, the digital archives, and the Carroll Scholars repository.
