HELENA – Carroll College Theatre is producing the play They Promised Her the Moon by Laurel Ollstein. This show will run September 27 – October 6, in the FLEX Theatre in the lower level of the Carroll College Campus Center. Purchase tickets

Carroll College Theatre’s season of “Women in Science” opens with a play about the Mercury Thirteen, a group of women who trained, and qualified, to become the first astronauts along with the Mercury Seven but were kept on Earth. The play follows Jerrie Cobb through her qualification testing and later testimony to Congress requesting women be allowed the same chance as men to go to space.

  • Directed by Dee Smith III, Carroll class of 2004, Grandstreet Theatre Project Manager, designer and director
  • Twenty tickets will be reserved for door sales only, beginning one hour before curtain
  • The show features 9 college-aged actors
  • There will be an interdisciplinary panel on Saturday, September 28 after the show.

Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. on September 27, 28, and October 3, 4, and 5. There is one matinee on October 6 at 2:30 p.m. Parking is free in the Campus Center lot off of Lyndale for all performances. The theatre is fully ADA accessible through the east entrance of the Campus Center. Tickets are available at the door or online. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for students and seniors, $5 for children 12 and younger, and $5 with a current Carroll College ID.
