Carroll College is proud to host one of Montana’s largest ROTC programs. We have over 30 students in the program who benefit from significant tuition scholarships and training. On Saturday night, Dr. Cech and Victoria participated in the annual ROTC Dining Out event which is a formal dress event.
Accolades go out to our Cadets for their recent efforts with the Ranger Challenge. The 8th Brigade Army ROTC Task Force North Ranger Challenge was held February 9-10 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, and saw Cadets from across the northern portion of 8th Brigade square off in teams of 11. They compete against other colleges throughout the region in events such as: communications with tactical radios, marksmanship, weapons assembly, one-rope bridge, grenade assault course, Army Combat Fitness Test, land navigation, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, and a 10-mile road march.
A combined team of Carroll College and University of Montana students competed and took 5th out of 21 teams from the Northwest. Carroll was represented by Isaac Goudy (Team Captain), Aiden Jarvis, Bryce Hall, Jerny Crawford, and Tucker Love.
ROTC Cadet Highlight
Aiden Jarvis, a nursing major at Carroll, not only competed at the Ranger Challenge but also graduated from the Army’s Air Assault Course in Ft. Campbell, KY, in January. He took first in the 12-mile ruck while competing against Active Duty soldiers and other Cadets.
He has also accepted an internship to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. this summer after his Cadet Summer Training at Fort Knox, KY.
