Murderously Musical Mayhem

Murder, mayhem and music take the stage when the Carroll College Theatre Department presents “Clue — The Musical!” this October. The production invites the audience to help solve the mystery. Three audience members choose from cards representing the potential murderers, weapons and rooms; there are 216 possible solutions! Comic antics, witty lyrics and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room on the giant game board and oversized game tokens.

Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 18-19 and Oct. 25-26, at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees on Oct. 20 and 27 at 3 p.m. Performances are in the Carroll College Theatre in St. Charles Hall.  Parental Guidance is suggested.

General admission tickets are $10, $8 for students and seniors.

Doing Time in Lock Up

A duo of Carroll Talking Saints paid a recent visit to the Oregon State Penitentiary.  Chris McClafferty-Helley and Koby McInnis participated in a debate tournament that included teams from around the Northwest as well as inmates who are part of the Oregon prison’s Toastmasters Club.  Both students agreed it was a valuable learning experience which challenged stereotypes and is a program they would like to expand to the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge.

Hearty congratulations to the two for receiving a "thumbs up" on the Helena IR's editorial page!

A Rad Ride

Gathering at Helena’s Centennial Park for the 20th anniversary of National Public Lands Day in late September, Carroll College students joined over a hundred volunteers to complete the first phase of Vigilante Bike Park, Helena’s first bike park.  In five hours of time, they completed the first of three tracks.  This first track consists of rises, dips and berms and is referred to as a "pump track."

Fundraising continues in order to raise enough capital to complete the other two tracks of the "first of its kind" bike park in Montana.
