On November 12, members of Carroll College ASCE were joined by friends to complete our annual highway cleanup near Jefferson City on I-15. The day started off with a quick breakfast and safety briefing (cleaning next to a 70 mph highway can be a bit sketchy), then the eight students and Dr. Birgul divided into two teams working towards each other on the highway. There was a slight misunderstanding with mileage markers, but after accidentally cleaning four miles of divided highway instead of our required two (whoops) we returned to campus with the knowledge of a job well done for another year.
Thanks to Carroll senior David Wassmuth for his efforts and leadership!
