Now is the time to formally declare your major(s), minor(s), and pick a departmental faculty advisor. Your First Year Cohort (FYC) Advisor can assist with this process, and we highly recommend that you meet with them to discuss your future academic plans and goals.
We've created this easy online form for you to:
- confirm or change your major;
- confirm, add or remove a minor;
- declare a pre-professional pathway such as pre-med or pre-law; and
- be matched with a departmental faculty advisor.
Completing this process is extremely important to your long-term academic success.
Important Dates
- As soon as possible: Meet with your FYC Advisor
- By March 1st: Complete FY Major/Minor Change/Confirm form at this link.
- Mid-March: Check Student Planning (in your Self-Service App) to make sure the changes have been made in your academic record
- March 22 - April 3: Schedule a meeting with with your new departmental faculty advisor to get to know each other, plan your schedule for next fall, and begin to work on planning your path to graduation in your major area of study
- April 3-6th: Selection of Fall classes -- register, waitlist, etc.
