HELENA - Do you know a Carroll student who merits recognition for their exceptional commitment to community service? If so, please consider nominating them for the Hunthausen Outstanding Citizenship Award.

The selection committee seeks those students who exhibit a sense of commitment to others for the goal of assisting and giving to others from their own personal sense of unselfish service, who exhibit a commitment to the community, who reflects our Carroll College mission statement. Especially in this extreme time of separation from one another, it is so good to remember how we continue to be connected, and to recognize and celebrate the ways Carroll students have gone above and beyond in love, solidarity and service to their neighbors this year.

This prestigious award for community service has been a Carroll tradition since 1986 and it provides a platform to recognize deserving students who make outstanding contributions to the college or a community (Helena or other). The award was named for Archbishop Raymond G. Hunthausen because of his own commitment to peace and justice in his personal life and in his work with the Catholic Church.

All Carroll students are eligible. Nominations forms are available online . Detailed nominations fare better than brief statements. You can find more information about the award here.

Deadline to submit nominations is 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2020. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Deidre Casey at dlcasey@carroll.edu.
