Carroll College is pleased to announce that it has hired Jennifer Glowienka, PhD, as Carroll’s Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Jennifer Glowienka received her B.S. in Biology from Boise State University, her Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and has been teaching Biology at Carroll since 2003. She served as chair of the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences from 2012–2018 and was named the James J. Manion Endowed Chair in the Biological Sciences in 2018. For the past year, she has served as a part-time Assistant Dean of Instruction.
“For the past 16 years, Jenn has served as an exemplar scholar and teacher in the Biology department at Carroll College,” said Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs Cathy Day. “She has mentored many students and has served as a role model for her peers. During her service as department chair, she demonstrated a strong aptitude for leadership and an ability to innovate. I am thrilled that she will be joining our academic leadership team as we move forward with new developing new opportunities and initiatives.”
Dr. Glowienka’s official start date is July 1, 2019.
