Carroll College chemistry undergraduate student researchers Meghan Benda and Victoria Kong earned ARES awards from the Montana Space Grant Consortium for the second semester in a row. ARES awards provide funding to pay undergraduate researchers for their work, and can amount to $750 per semester. Students can apply for ARES awards in a competitive state wide process in which they submit a written proposal of their research plans.

Both Meghan and Victoria will use some of the money they have earned to pay their way to the National American Chemical Society Meeting in Denver, where they will present their research results.  Congratulations!
