Call for Submissions to the 2024 Carroll College Undergraduate Literary Festival:
The Senior English Capstone Seminar students are accepting submissions for the 2024 Carroll College Undergraduate Literary Festival, with the theme of Identity, but feel free to submit something outside of the theme. All works are welcome regardless of field of study. If you have any questions regarding your topic, feel free to contact us via email!
Prizes valued at $250 for first place and $125 for second place will be awarded. The Capstone Seminar students will judge the submissions and choose the first- and second-place winners. (Capstone students are ineligible for prizes.)
- Prose (fiction, creative nonfiction, memoir. or academic): 2000 words minimum.
- Poetry: 200 lines minimum (one long poem or several shorter ones).
- Please inquire about one-act play, spoken word, or graphic novel entries.
Winners must be able to present their works (in full, or in part) at the Carroll College Literary Festival on the afternoon or evening of November 7, 2024 & November 8, 2024. Presentation length: 12-15 minutes.
Deadline Monday, November 4, by 5:00 p.m.
