Call for Submissions to the 2023 Carroll College Undergraduate Literary Festival: Lucky Duck Literary Festival
The Senior English Capstone Seminar students are accepting submissions for the 2023 Carroll College Undergraduate Literary Festival!
UNDERGRAD SUBMISSIONS: Anyone from any field of study is encouraged to submit! $375 in prizes will be distributed among the winners. The Capstone Seminar students will judge the submissions and choose the first- and second-place winners. (Capstone students are ineligible for prizes.)
REQUIREMENTS ARE THE SAME FOR UNDERGRAD AND HIGH SCHOOL SUBMISSIONS:
• Prose (fiction, creative nonfiction, memoir or academic): 2000 words minimum
• Poetry (one long poem or several shorter ones): 200 lines minimum
• Please inquire about one-act play, spoken word, or graphic novel entries
Winners must be able to present their works (in full, or in part) at the Carroll College Literary Festival in one of the afternoon or evening sessions, November 9, 2023. Presentation length: 12-15 minutes.
Deadline MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6, by 5:00 p.m.
