About
Fast Enterprises
Description of Responsibilities:
I was offered a job with Fast Enterprises before I graduated and started working in Santa Fe, NM to help to implement the state's new vehicle system. I also volunteered at one of the largest horse shelters in the country called The Horse Shelter. They rescue abused and abandoned horses from NM, AZ, CO, and even Mexico. I was able to learn from some of the best horse trainers in the southwest. Next, I was part of an Oklahoma vehicle system upgrade and have since been promoted to Implementation Consultant Manager in North Dakota. I am set to graduate with my masters in IT Management this summer.
Notable Memory from Carroll:
I remember working late nights in the networking lab with other students and we would put on movies on the projectors while we worked on our projects and helped debug each other’s code when we had issues. It is pretty similar with what I do today at my job.
Piece of Advice for prospective Carroll Computer Science students:
Every single industry needs tech people. Whether you become a developer at Google, or a network administrator at a small company, there is always a need for tech people and developers. For me, I found that I didn't enjoy the hardware side of CS as much so I became a developer and I love working through the logic issues and system errors that come up. The things you learn in a CS degree can launch you into a multitude of different directions, you just have to find what you enjoy the most and run with it.
Carroll launched my career and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I was there.
