About
Program Manager of the Business Department
Julie Mull, CFP®, ABD, MS, MBA, MA, is the department Co-Chair and Associate Professor for the Business and Accounting Department at Carroll College. Her responsibilities also include teaching financial planning courses and fulfilling the role of Program Manager for the CFP Board Registered Undergraduate Program. She successfully applied for Carroll College to become a CFP Board Registered Program and the college was designated as such on May 1, 2019. She is currently completing the application process for Carroll College to be approved to offer a CFP Board Registered Certificate Program in the very near future.
Julie is hoping to develop a peer mentoring program in order to both provide financial literacy for undergraduate students as well as to provide Financial Planning majors the opportunity to earn experience hours as required for completion of earning the right to use the CFP® marks. Financial Planning majors have developed some suggestions for this creation and the idea is ongoing. Julie always offers an online personal finance course during the summer semester in an attempt to address the basic financial literacy need in the general population. This summer's course starts on June 29 and ends on August 7.
Before coming to Carroll College, Julie worked in the private sector for over 20 years, primarily in the banking industry. She also taught for many years as an adjunct professor in the Indiana University and Purdue University systems during this time. Additionally, she assisted her husband in their roofing company for a number of years and uses her entrepreneurial skills and experience to assist her colleague, Annette Ryerson, in the Carroll College entrepreneurship initiatives.
