Deanna Thompson, PhD, MBA, RN, CNL
Deanna earned her PhD in nursing from the University of Arizona, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master’s in Nursing Degrees from Montana State University Bozeman, and her Master’s in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ, Deanna’s research interests are nurse graduate transition to practice, human trafficking, social determinants, health equity, and substance abuse. She has also earned a certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader.
Her background includes over 19 years of emergency room nursing, public health nursing, infection prevention, education within the hospital setting, and home healthcare in Montana. She has also had the privilege of teaching nursing students at both Great Falls College MSU and Montana State University.
Outside of work, Deanna enjoys golfing, bowling, running, softball, and spending time with her husband and her five children, usually watching them compete in one of their many activities.
