Attorney Edward Friedman once said that “We believe in providing resources to children and young people so they have every advantage available to become successful adults”. This is the intention behind our newly established 2021 $1,500 Friedman & Simon, L.L.P. Academic Scholarship (available here). By offering this scholarship, we are honored to play a small part in advancing the winning candidate toward achieving his higher education goals and change the world for the better.
As far as the selection process goes, one worthy candidate will be handpicked from a pool of qualified entries to receive the $1,500 scholarship award, available for the 2021-22 school year, based on the following criteria and requirements:
- 3.0 GPA (including unofficial transcript is mandatory);
- Enrollment in or admittance to an accredited college or university;
- Writing a 500- to 1000-word essay on one of the topics below:
How will your studies contribute to your future career aspirations?
What do you most hope to accomplish during your college studies?
How did your experiences or accomplishments during high school prepare you for success in college?
