I was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Montana. Growing up, I was always interested in wildlife and the outdoors. I spent countless hours fishing and camping during the summer. 

In my junior year of high school, I joined the Montana Army National Guard. I attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC, in 2003. I have been deployed twice, once to Iraq from September 2010 to November 2011 and then to Afghanistan from May 2018 to March 2019. My most recent assignment was as a Combat Medic Instructor at Fort Harrison.

Nick Pacella was the first nursing ROTC cadet to graduate from Carroll College (class of 2004). During Nick’s years at Carroll, he was a standout student and a mentor to other cadets in Carroll’s small ROTC unit. Nick was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army upon graduation and has spent the last 25 years serving his country, through multiple deployments at home and abroad.
