Molly Molloy is a native Montanan who serves as an Associate Professor and the Director of Field Education in Carroll College's Master of Social Work program. A native of Montana, Molly earned her BA in political science and masters of social work degrees from the University of Montana in Missoula. Previous to joining Carroll, she worked in the field of interprofessional education with the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and was the Director Behavioral Health at the Child Evaluation Center (CEC) at the Southwest Montana Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center utilizing integrated team-based care. Molly also has experience working in politics and social work in health care settings, youth in crisis, in schools, and as a Pediatric Behavioral Health Specialist.
A very experienced clinical social worker, Molly has worked with youth court and family drug court programs and she has experience in integrated behavioral health care settings and with suicide prevention programs. She is trained in a number of evidence-based practices including Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and more.
While working in Butte (America), Molly served on the leadership committee of the Community Action Team (CAT), developing a blueprint for a trauma-informed and resilient community. She has presented on a variety of topics including adverse childhood experiences, resiliency, compassionate leadership, self-compassion, vicarious trauma, adult and youth mental health first aid. Audiences for her training include the business community, library staff, law enforcement, family services, first responders, teachers, and medical and mental health professionals. Prior to graduate school, Molly spent time living in Washington DC and then in Northern Ireland working at Corrymeela, a Peace and Reconciliation Center.
