Why I Love Carroll College

As a young woman, who was raised in the suburb of Orange County, California, I decided to attend an out-of-state college and chose Carroll College in Helena, Montana. That decision was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I can assure you that the experience you will receive at Carroll is none like any other.

Our motto “Not for School, but For Life,” is centered around our academic dedication and personal obligation to support all students during their time here at Carroll and provide them with the skills they need to succeed after college. The liberal arts curriculum challenges students to participate in hands-on academic experiences, embrace critical thinking, broaden their academic horizon, and become empathetic toward different perspectives while strengthening individual confidence.

Located in the state capitol, in the heart of Montana, Carroll College is surrounded by natural beauty with access to over 75 miles of hiking and biking trails, and nearby lakes, mountains, and rivers that provide year-round opportunities for outdoor adventure. A beautiful historic downtown and the simplicity of a small community create a unique and charming atmosphere; which offers cultural richness and a sense of belonging. This small, close-knit environment allows students to make lifelong connections with both the faculty and fellow peers which makes Carroll a family.
