Last weekend, President Cech and Victoria joined several Carroll faculty and staff for visits to the greater Seattle area and Portland. It was exciting to welcome the highest turnout of prospective students from those two communities interested in Carroll since 2019. We also had the pleasure of being joined by a number of alumni members at each event, which was a fantastic success!
We would like to thank Professors Jeanette Fregulia and Lauren Swant, Director of Financial Aid Janet Riis and current students and Talking Saints Ashlynne Jeffries and Brad Tomasovic for joining us on this trip and dedicating their time to engage with our potential students and their families. In addition, much credit goes to Senior Associate Director of Admissions Ty Eisbach and Leadership Annual Giving Officer Elizabeth Zimmerman for organizing the events.
Combined, nearly 30 percent of Carroll’s current students are residents of either Washington or Oregon. We are so delighted that Carroll continues to draw very well from our neighbors to the west!
We also had a wonderful turnout for our Alumni Wine Tasting and Food Pairing event at the Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, CA, last weekend. Thank you to our sponsors Jack McLean ‘76 and Nathan Wilburn for hosting us and our many alumni who participated in the fun gathering.
