As Carroll prepares to welcome back students to campus this fall, a comprehensive planning effort has been underway to ensure we maintain the health and safety of our community. That planning effort is now available to view online at www.carroll.edu/marchingback.
The Carroll College Marching Back Plan is a phased approach of policies and protocols that will serve as a guide for the college as we cautiously re-open campus to continue our valued mission. These policies and protocols are rooted in deliberate, data-driven decisions that are aligned with the State of Montana and Lewis & Clark Public Health directives.
It will take all of us working together to ensure that we have a safe and healthy campus environment as we move into the future.
CAN-COVID FRIENDLY RIVAL COMPETITION
Carroll College is in a friendly competition versus Montana Tech and Montana Western to raise funds for the Montana Food Bank Network and scholarships for students whose education is threatened by the COVID-19 outbreak. Help us reach our $10,000 goal first!
Carroll alum Jason DeShaw ‘03 and the Realize Hope Organization are teaming up to launch the Can-COVID campaign, a digital fundraising platform focused on raising funds in support of the Montana Food Bank Network, as well as student scholarships.
In partnership with Presenting Partners, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana, and the Montana Office of Public Instruction, CanCOVID.us will provide 70 cents of every dollar raised to the Montana Food Bank Network and 30 cents directly to the emergency scholarship fund of the recipient’s choosing.
“We are all in this together and together we will make it through," says DeShaw, co-founder of Realize Hope, the force behind Can-COVID. The organization is planning a 3-month Montana High School Campaign in the fall, after the Collegiate Campaign this summer.
In partnership with his brother, Derek Johnson ’09, has had success bringing Montana Branded beef to Florida. So much so, in fact, that they plan to expand nationally. Read about their joint venture in the Rock Island Dispatch-Argus – Montana Branded takes off on northeastern ranch.
