HELENA – Carroll College has been named one of the “2018 Healthiest Companies in America” by Interactive Health.
Carroll College partners with Interactive Health to deliver wellness programs to their employees to monitor and improve their health. From a pool of more than 1,500 candidates who participated in the Interactive Health workplace wellness program nationwide, Carroll College is one of 151 companies recognized this year for empowering employees to make significant and sometimes life-saving changes to improve their health. To win the recognition, companies must have reached or exceeded a 70 percent participation rate in their organization’s wellness program and their workforce’s overall health risk was low, based on the results of an annual health evaluation.
“Carroll College is delighted to be named among the healthiest companies in America,” said Renee McMahon, Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services and Title IX Coordinator at Carroll College. “An important goal of Carroll College’s is to provide a healthy, safe and secure work environment for faculty and staff. Carroll began to realize this goal by implementing our first health assessment in 2003. Since this time, the annual health assessment has become engrained in our campus culture and employees look forward to learning about, benchmarking against, and attending to their health and wellness goals. Many employees contribute their improved health and health habits, whether improving their diet and/or increasing their physical activity, to resources made available to them through our wellness programs, including the annual health assessment.”
Carroll has also received Skin Smart Campus Gold Level status for their commitment to providing a safe and healthy learning and living environment for the students, faculty, and staff by adopting a program to protect the public health and welfare by prohibiting indoor tanning on campus and in college buildings. The college will receive two free sunscreen dispensers and a one-year supply of sunscreen for each dispenser.
