Carroll College will hold its class of 2025 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10, in the Carroll College PE Center with 290 students graduating including both baccalaureate and master's degree recipients. Carroll College alumni from the classes of 1955, 1965 and 1975 will also be honored. For the second year in a row, Carroll will include a Native American Honor Song at the beginning of the ceremony, performed by the Magpie Drummers and Singers, an intertribal drum group.
Nursing professor and recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Teaching Award, Ms. Janet Johnson, MSN, RN, CNE, will provide the faculty address during the ceremony. In addition, Dr. John Cech will provide his final president’s address to the graduates.
The class of 2025 senior speaker will be Ms. Marrin Chapman of Clancy and Helena, Montana. Chapman, who is graduating summa cum laude with a double major in biology and Catholic Studies, was elected by her fellow classmates to speak on their behalf.
Additionally, the college will be honoring the achievements of exceptional faculty and students with the Outstanding Teaching Award, Distinguished Scholar Award, Faculty Emeriti, Bishop Gilmore Memorial Award for Outstanding Scholarship for the student(s) with the highest GPA, the Raymond G. Hunthausen Outstanding Service Award, and the Michael Murphy Award for Outstanding Collegiate Citizenship.

9:30 am, Baccalaureate Mass, Cathedral of Saint Helena
Due to limited seating in the Cathedral, admission to Baccalaureate is by ticket only. Doors to the Cathedral open at 8:30 am. A livestream is available here.
1:00 pm, Commencement, Valley Bank Field at Nelson Stadium, Carroll College
Commencement will be held in Nelson Stadium, rain or shine. No tickets are required for entrance as unlimited guests are allowed per graduate for the outdoor ceremony. Stadium gates will open for seating at 12:00 pm. The general public is welcome to attend.
