Congratulations to Carroll College Chemistry alumni Forrest Laskowski ‘12 for successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis titled “Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting – Photoanode Interface and Pinch-off Studies.” Forrest is graduating from the University of Oregon where he has published 11 high-impact peer reviewed publications on the fundamental science behind water-splitting solar panel technology. An example of his work can be found here.
Forrest has accepted a post-doctoral position at Caltech where he will study next generation all-solid-state batteries in the See Lab. His work will focus on developing a fundamental understanding of the interface between electrodes and solid-state electrolytes
