Mrs. Mattern is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Montana Academy of Physician Assistants.  She and her husband Brian have 5 amazing children and enjoy gardening, the symphony and all that Montana has to offer.

“I am thrilled to join the Carroll College community as the college’s founding director of the Physician Assistant program,” said Claire Hull. “Carroll is among the nation’s best liberal arts colleges, with an excellent reputation for preparing graduates for careers in health professions. I look forward to building a program that prepares its graduates to be competent, compassionate, and patient-centered clinicians. Carroll is poised to play an even greater role in improving access to health care for many rural and underserved communities in Montana. I look forward to building strong and innovative partnerships with communities across the state to create a PA program that is highly regarded and respected.”
