About
Patrick Judge (B.A. Colorado College, M.S. University of Montana) has taught physics at Carroll College since 2011, both as a full-time instructor and part-time adjunct. Patrick delights in teaching the “Energy and the Environment” (ENGR 326) and “Energy and Global Change” (PHYS 189) courses. As to his teaching philosophy, “If a picture is worth a thousand words, a good physics demo or lab exercise is worth 10^6!”
Patrick’s passion for energy policy started with his graduate studies and extended to sustainability-oriented positions at the municipal, state, and regional levels. He has held appointments to the Governor’s Climate Change Advisory Committee (2006-2007), the Helena Climate Change Task Force (2008-2009), the Helena Citizen Conservation Board (2018-2022), and the Northwest Energy Coalition Executive Board (2002-2011). He continues to serve as a board member and officer of the Montana Renewable Energy Association and as a member of NorthWestern Energy’s USB Renewable Energy Advisory Committee.
In his free time, he enjoys running and racing with the Helena Vigilante Runners.
