About

"I graduated from Carroll College in May 2016, with a major in mathematics and a minor in physics.  I'm currently attending graduate school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am working on obtaining my Ph.D. in mathematics, and in my first year here, I am already leaning towards a career in research on fluid dynamics.  I am really grateful to have studied at Carroll for my undergraduate studies; the tutelage of the professors in the math department at Carroll has heavily influenced my mathematical intuition, and I couldn't be more excited for the journey ahead."

In the spring of 2018 as a second year graduate student at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Elizabeth was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. The NSF awards "outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions."

She states, "I am very excited to use the resources afforded by the fellowship to spend more time on research. I want to thank the faculty of Carroll College and the University of Nebraska - Lincoln for their unending support and encouragement."
