Chris Gillette ‘99, has been a Carroll trustee since 2022.
Originally from Miles City, Chris is the oldest of nine children, six of whom graduated from Carroll
College. Chris graduated from Carroll in 1999 with majors in Accounting and Business
Administration with areas of concentration in Economics and Finance. He then moved to the San
Francisco Bay Area, where he has now lived for almost 25 years.
Professionally, Chris has spent his career as part of an investment advisory practice serving Silicon
Valley and West Coast corporations. He works at Morgan Stanley, and his team specializes in
investing balance sheet liquidity, predominantly for technology and life science companies.
After completing his Carroll education, Chris earned the CFA designation, which eventually led to
serving on the CFA San Francisco Board of Directors. CFASF is a local membership organization,
consisting of over 3500 members. Chris served on the Board for eight years, including a Board
leadership position as Board president from 2016-2017. He also gained valuable Board and
governance experience serving on the Board of St. Perpetua Catholic school for four years.
Chris lives in Lafayette, CA, with his wife Kelli and their two children. He remains involved in many
school related activities and helps to coach their youth sports teams. He is very grateful for the
opportunity to serve Carroll as a trustee.
