About
Attending Carroll College was one the best decisions I ever made. It felt like home, a place where I grew academically and as a whole person. I had the opportunity to join the Up till Dawn Executive Board, a program that raises awareness and funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. I even travelled to St. Jude’s where I met courageous patients, their families, a dedicated medical team and students ready to make a positive impact on the lives of others. During the trip I met the hospital CEO, and what he said to me has stayed with me: “Do what you love and love why you do it.” I began to really search for the answer, and I came to realize that the work I was doing for the kids was my area of passion and a public health degree was my pathway to that work.
My rigorous education in public health prepared me well for my current work as County Contract Liaison & Youth Engagement Specialist for the Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program, where I directly work with our Tobacco Prevention Specialist and youth throughout the state to become the first tobacco and nicotine free generation in Montana.
