Description: Carroll College’s department of Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science and Physics invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach Astronomy for the Spring 2025 semester. Description: Carroll College invites applications for 2 tenure-track Assistant Professors of Biology beginning in August 2025. We seek candidates dedicated to teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. These positions will have primary responsibilities in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences, teaching undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology, introductory biology, and upper level courses in areas of expertise (e.g. Comparative Anatomy, Biomechanics, Cell Physiology, etc.). These positions will also contribute to the establishment of a new Master of Physician Assistant Studies program and will have graduate level Anatomy and Physiology teaching responsibilities in that program. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Chemistry position beginning in August 2025. We seek candidates who are dedicated to teaching excellence both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the Chemistry Department, teaching undergraduate biochemistry and combined general, organic, and biochemistry (GOB) courses. Secondary teaching responsibilities could include undergraduate organic and general chemistry. This position will also contribute to the development of a new Masters of Physician Assistant Studies program and will have pharmacology and chemistry teaching responsibilities in that program when developed. Additional teaching responsibilities, department service, and service to the college will depend on the candidate's area of expertise.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Pharm. D. or a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for a tenure-track digital media and strategic communication position. The successful applicant will be a co-collaborator and co-architect of a major revision and rebranding of our traditional Public Relations program and our journalism course, to become more digitally focused and in sync with new media.
Primary courses: The new colleague’s primary courses will be drawn from strategic communication theory and writing, strategic communication practice, social media, media writing, media literacy, media ethics and event planning.
Secondary courses: Secondary courses, drawn from the candidate’s expertise, could include: graphic design, crisis communication, sports communication, AI and Communication, and podcasting. The candidate ideally will advise the campus newspaper, a monthly digital publication produced by students from across the campus. We teach different courses in alternating years to increase total course offerings.
Communication Center: The Communication department is closely affiliated with the Carroll College Communication Center, located in our renovated campus library. With a communication lab, a green screen studio, and a podcasting studio, the Center is a multi-use facility where we teach video and audio production skills, as well as traditional public speaking skills. We also provide equipment and facilities for digital projects to students from all majors and minors. We also partner with the business department to provide marketing and business education to our majors.
Department culture: The Communication department is close-knit, with warm collaboration among faculty colleagues and personal relationships with our students. We mentor students closely to facilitate their success after graduation, including use of recent alums as guest speakers in courses and contacts to facilitate networking. Our graduates have held jobs in top firms such as Edelman Public Relations, Amazon, Exxon and CNBC television. We emphasize holistic education, founded on ethical decision-making and a desire to care for those we serve, no matter the profession.
Our department seeks a student-focused educator who would embrace the opportunity to co-create a digital strategic communication program which would draw upon your digital skills and specializations. Tenure at Carroll requires professional development and research, with insistence on high-impact teaching practice, which is the hallmark of our mission: “Not for school but for life.”
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in Communications, Broadcast Journalism or directly related field. College teaching experience or relevant employment experience preferred.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of English to teach all undergraduate levels of English beginning August 2025. The successful applicant will join a small English program and will teach upper and lower division American literature courses and other courses suited to the candidate. Members of the English program generally teach one course of first-year writing per year. We are especially interested in candidates who could also offer courses in one or more of the following areas:
- Native American Literature

- Medical Humanities
- Introductory Creative Writing (combined poetry and fiction)

The Environmental Program at Carroll emphasizes experiential field-based learning and engages students in authentic research and applied projects while utilizing the great natural classroom of Montana.
Teaching responsibilities will encompass both lecture and lab/field courses including Introduction to Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Environmental Impact Assessment, and other courses in area of expertise (e.g. Ornithology, Mammalogy, etc.), as well as participation in program-based field courses (e.g. Winter Ecology in Yellowstone or others). Successful applicants should be able to articulate how they can develop and contribute to undergraduate research opportunities on campus and/or service to the department and college depending on the candidate's areas of expertise and experience.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology, Zoology, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field. The faculty member would be principally assigned to the department’s online Master of Social Work (MSW) Program.
Carroll’s MSW program, which welcomed its inaugural cohort in 2021, recently earned accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Designed to meet the critical demand for mental health professionals in Montana and the Rocky Mountain Region, the program’s specialization is direct practice with individuals, families, and groups. Staff Positions
Description: Carroll College is seeking an enthusiastic, competent, and highly self-motivated individual to join our growing Master of Social Work program as an Administrative Coordinator. A critical role on our team, the Administrative Coordinator assists with student recruitment and admissions and it helps accepted applicants and newly deposited and current students as they navigate a variety of college processes and systems. The position also helps with program marketing, assists with the planning and facilitation of program events and activities, and it supports the basic administrative needs of the program.
The Administrative Coordinator must be able to work independently as they complete multiple time-sensitive tasks. This position must also work closely with other Carroll offices and departments to ensure students are able to successfully navigate relevant enrollment, financial aid, and registration-related processes. Because this role interacts frequently with prospective students and applicants, they must develop a working knowledge of the format and curriculum of Carroll’s MSW program, social work licensure in the State of Montana, and the program’s accreditation process.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 3 years’ experience in administrative support. Associates Degree and prior knowledge of the social work profession is preferred.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for an Assistant Director of Institutional Research. This position performs all necessary functions related to the collection, interpretation, and use of institutional data for planning, compliance, assessment, and decision-making purposes. This position also facilitates access to information maintained in the college’s data management system to support college operations and decisions. Description: Carroll College is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Student Accounts. This high level accounting position manages operations with student accounts and e-commerce, as well as supervises two Senior Accountant positions within the Business Office. This position recommends and advises the Controller of needed changes to the internal controls to ensure the ongoing safeguards of the College’s cash receipts and E-commerce transactions; oversees the development, training, and implementation of the College’s E-commerce and Payment Card Industry (PCI) policies and procedures and provides oversight for developing and implementing all of the policies and systems associated with student accounts receivable. Duties include review and analysis of financial information, preparing complex journal entries, preparing monthly work papers, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Federal laws, Payment Card Industry (PCI) Standards, and College guidelines. Other responsibilities include oversight, analysis, implementation, and process design for Ellucian Student Finance and TouchNet products. The position also assists in the College’s annual audit and serves as the lead on other special accounting and financial projects as needed.
This position is responsible for ensuring their department provides excellent customer service. This is achieved through providing a friendly and professional environment to our students and parents; addressing system errors, complaints, student billing, etc., in a timely and professional way; providing an up-to-date technologically savvy billing and payment system that provides student and authorized user with real time data, payment ease and security; coordinating with other key departments to ensure our processes and work flows coordinate with others departments creating a seamless appearance for students; and support our students by participating in student events and activities.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field plus 5 years’ accounting or related experience. It is important that the candidate have excellent computer skills with 5 years of computer spreadsheet preparation. Must be proficient in report writing using database systems, and Microsoft Excel. Colleague System and TouchNet power-user, MS Access and database experience a plus. Must have the ability to work independently and perform duties with broad latitude for judgment.

Description: Carroll College is seeking an energetic and ambitious individual to fill our Events Planning Assistant position. This position will assist the Conferencing & Events Manager in the coordination of events, conferences, and meetings. Duties include set up and tear down of events, making floor plans for events, assisting with planning; handling logistics and participant registration; producing event collateral materials; and providing onsite event assistance. Work with and cross-train with Conferencing & Events Manager to perform all duties in their absence to ensure continuity of operations and the highest degree of customer service. This position will require a flexible schedule to accommodate conferences, including some weekends and holidays.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED plus 1 year experience in public service, retail, and/or events set-ups. Ideal applicants would have some sales and event experience, or guest service experience, and a passion for high-end hospitality. Must be upbeat with a positive and flexible attitude; work well in a fast-paced environment and exhibit a calm confidence and ability to prioritize key tasks. Description: Carroll College is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill the position of IT Support Specialist. This person will serve in the Campus Computing and Information Technology department as a member of the User Services team to provide campus-wide technology support to end-users and is specifically responsible for providing Help Desk services, which is comprised of allowing end users to place support requests for technology support by phone, web or by walk-in. Will elevate issues, as appropriate, to other CCIT staff members and will keep customers updated on the status of their issues. Will help provide employee training related to technology and is responsible for onboarding training for new employees in relation to accounts, email and network drive storage. Responsible for network administration tasks involving account creation and general maintenance of network accounts. Coordinates support services including Help Desk requests, as well as a variety of short-term projects, computer upgrades and/or hardware requests, telephone, cell phone account management and print services. Has a direct impact on retention by supporting students through burdensome computer problems as well as works with incoming students to make sure they are equipped to have the greatest success at Carroll from a technical perspective.

Description: Carroll College seeks a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Senior Accountant I – PCI & E-Commerce. The Senior Accountant I will be responsible for overseeing the College’s e-commerce activities and for ensuring Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance of the College’s receipt of electronic payments and Point of Sales (POS) transactions. The incumbent is the lead contact for processor and e-commerce system selection and set-up. Responsible for the direction of development, training and implementation of the College’s e-commerce and PCI policies and procedures, as well as standardization of POS transactions. Will partner with CCIT to keep abreast of immerging guidelines on PCI compliance in the Higher Education environment.
This position is responsible for building partnerships across campus and representing the needs and requirements of the Business Office in all e-commerce related software decisions. The incumbent will be responsible at all stages of product selection, implementation, process design, end-user education, and evaluation. Specifically, with the market place solution, the incumbent will be responsible for the on-going design and set up of individual market place sites to serve the registration and cash collection needs of the campus.
Responsible for the review and analysis of financial transactions and general ledger account activity to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and college policies and for making appropriate general ledger entries and preparing monthly work papers and schedules. In addition, the position is responsible for coordinating projects to automate processes and implement new technologies to enhance effectiveness.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Will also consider an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field plus 2 years of progressively responsible work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
