Description: Carroll College invites applications for a 1-year visiting professor position in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences to begin in August 2024.  The successful candidate would be encouraged to apply for the tenure-track position to being August 2025.  We seek a broadly trained biologist with a strong commitment to teaching at a predominantly undergraduate institution. The primary teaching responsibilities for this position are Intro to Human Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2 (BI 201 and 202). Other teaching responsibilities may also include courses in the introductory sequence, upper division courses in area of specialty, or writing-intensive research courses in area of specialty. 

Qualifications:   The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. or will be ABD in Biology or a related field, will have a demonstrated ability to teach A&P, will be open to using a variety of high impact teaching practices and will be committed to fostering an educational environment committed to equity and inclusion.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join our Nursing Baccalaureate program with both a long-standing traditional pathway and a new Accelerated Nursing pathway. The position would start this upcoming Summer 2024.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track, Clinical Nursing Faculty to join our Nursing Baccalaureate program. This position would provide supervision, demonstration, and collaborative evaluation of student performance in a clinical or laboratory setting. Description: Carroll College invites applications for an Administrative Assistant for our developing Physician Assistant program.  The position will assist in the preparation of the PA program for accreditation and welcoming its first class in August 2026. This position is responsible for providing administrative support and assists with meeting administrative needs and the planning and facilitation of program events and activities. Also supports program admissions and recruitment, supporting accepted students as they navigate college processes and systems, and assisting with the promotion of department of physician assistant programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:   The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years administrative support experience.

Description: Carroll College is seeking an Admissions Counselor to assist with driving recruitment efforts. This position serves an integral role in the recruitment and retention of prospective undergraduate students. Specific duties/responsibilities include working with potential candidates in a specified territory, interviewing candidates and conducting appropriate follow-up and tracking. The astute Admissions Counselor will also assist enrollment management with developing communication and building relationships with key influencers which lead to increased visibility for Carroll College. Admissions Counselors are required to initiate outreach to all prospects and their families as well as conduct transcript evaluations to determine eligibility for enrollment.

Like all Carroll employees, Admissions Counselors are expected to represent the college and maintain positive public relations when attending recruitment events, college fairs, and other community events.  Admissions Counselors must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to deliver world-class customer service with a positive attitude.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for a part-time Athletics Eligibility Coordinator.  This position is responsible for direct oversight and processing of eligibility certification for all new and returning student-athletes for each season of competition.  The Coordinator will maintain up to date roster in institutional and NAIA data bases and initiate the compiling lists of eligible students for NAIA, Cascade Collegiate, Frontier, and institutional academic awards.  This position will also compile team and Athletic Department GPA’s following each semester.   This position will be a .44 FTE and does not include benefits.

Description:  Carroll College invites applications for a Director of Residential Life & Housing.  This is a full-time, live-in campus position responsible for the management of multiple residence halls housing over 800 students. The Assistant Director, in coordination and collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Residential Life and Housing, will lead a dynamic team of professionals and student leaders to develop and deliver a range of programs and services designed to enhance the operational, educational, and social experiences of our residence hall and apartment community members. 

The successful candidate will provide evidence of training and experience in managing projects and initiatives with partners both internal and external to their team, supervising and developing direct supervisees, strong collaboration skills, and experiences managing mental health emergencies, crisis management, and student safety. This position will:

  • Provide oversight and direct supervision to two full-time Area Coordinators to ensure successful management of residence hall facilities, including but not limited to residential experiences and education, intentional interaction programming, building physical plant issues, opening and closing procedures, key card management, and management of room assignment processes through the eRezLife Housing Software. Provide guidance and coaching for the indirect supervision of 23 paraprofessional student staff and 2 additional on-call staff.
  • Through training and development, become an expert user and facilitator of Carroll College Housing Operations, the eRezLife Housing Software, and the interactions with Colleague (Carroll College’s system of record).
  • Provide oversight and facilitation of Student Apartments Operations processes. 
  • Facilitate Student Conduct as a Student Conduct Administrator, utilizing a student-centered and restorative approach.   
  • Serve 37.5 hours per week, inclusive of office hours, staff meetings, programming, and community engagement. 
  • Participate in night, weekend, and holiday work as required. This includes both student engagement opportunities and serving in an on-call 24-hour weekly on-call rotation with 4 other professional staff. 
  • Represent Residential Life through participation in institutional decision-making, college-wide committees and teams, and regular attendance at campus functions.
  • Promote and reinforce a Residential Life staff culture rooted in collaboration, mutual respect, compassionate candor, and the development of the whole person. We holistically contribute to the success and wellness of our students and the professionals who serve them. 
  • Live on-campus in a College-provided apartment, in a residence hall. 

Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or a related field plus 3 years of experience working in higher education, including experience with managing residential life programming and staff.  Must be able to traverse stairs and travel between multiple buildings as part of duties.  Master’s degree preferred.

Description: Carroll College invites applications for our Associate Vice President of Enrollment.  This position is the College’s chief enrollment professional who provides leadership, strategic thinking and in-depth analysis for a comprehensive enrollment management plan for Carroll College. This person leads and supervises the Admissions and Financial Aid departments and is the driving force of the College’s efforts in the recruitment of new students to all current and future undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree/certificate programs and post-bac/graduate programs. 

In addition, this position works collaboratively with campus stakeholders in other departments, including academic departments and support services, faculty, alumni and the athletic department, to ensure the effectiveness of recruitment and enrollment operations. This person oversees the development of effective policies and procedures related to student enrollment and generates reports and identifies data to inform the campus community of enrollment data and trends. Responsibilities include achievement of annual enrollment, special population and net revenue goals. 

This position works closely with the Vice President for Student Engagement to ensure that enrollment strategies and efforts are aligned and cohere with the mission of the College, strategic plans and budget expectations and represent faithfully the critical work occurring in other campus departments.

Qualifications:   The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area with at least eight years of relevant experience.  A Master's Degree and experience working within Catholic higher education is preferred.

  • Sharing administrative duties for our library services platform (Alma/Primo) with the Systems & Web Services Librarian;
  • Coordinating the evaluation, acquisition, marketing, and maintenance of electronic and print journals and databases, including shared institutional and consortia resources;
  • Tracking and analyzing usage statistics, along with trends and ongoing developments in areas related to the entire life cycle of e-resources, to inform future collections, resource management workflow, and budget decisions and for annual reporting purposes;

  • Collaborating with faculty and library staff to develop and offer classroom instruction and information literacy guides and programs;

Primary responsibilities of the position include coordination and management of a clinical nursing lab environment appropriate to support optimal student learning. About the VPIA Position and Announcement   Detailed Job Description

The Carroll College Theatre Department is seeking a part-time Technical Director for their 2024-25 Production Season. The Technical Director is responsible for operating, protecting, and maintaining the theatre's technical assets, while also managing and overseeing the different technical departments, including set, lighting, props, sound, livestream, projection and effects. 

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Turning designer's sketches into technical drafts used by carpenters and electricians, and teaching students how to do the same.
  • Mentoring the student and staff creative team throughout theatre productions, giving students a professional experience of collaboration, and setting high standards of quality and artistry.
  • Setting and enforcing project deadlines.
  • Managing the scheduling and supervision of student workers in the shop.
  • Fostering teamwork, high quality communication, and professionalism.
  • Attending weekly thirty minute production meetings for shows and communicating and following up on technical requirements.
  • Setting and enforcing safe-use guidelines for equipment.
  • Coordinating with Fire Marshal and campus facilities team to make sure our department is in compliance.
  • Routinely performing (or delegating) preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Managing production-related expenses, reporting receipts and accepting donations as appropriate. 
  • Keeping an inventory of the theater's technical and carpentry supplies.
  • Maintaining an active acquisitions and upgrade plan for department equipment.
  • Creating and maintaining stock set pieces for re-use (platforms, stairs, blocks, etc.).
  • Overseeing and assisting throughout tech week and the load-in/load-out process.
  • Supervising the strike of sets on closing days.
