PROFESSIONAL ETIQUETTE DINNER

NOV

19

6:00 pm - 8:30 pmLower CUBE

Do You Slurp Your Soup? Formal Etiquette Dinner for Senior Students will take you on a journey beyond Emily Post. Learn how to make a great first impression, navigate through a formal dinner with style and, most importantly, not embarrass yourself in front of the big kahunas who know how and when to use a silver pickle fork. The meal will be preceded by a networking session for juggling hors d'oeuvres and punch while greeting people and carrying on conversation. Local professionals and alumni will be there to provide an opportunity for students to practice networking skills. During the meal, students will learn the basics of proper dining, and a speaker versed in etiquette will guide participants through the fine dining experience. Sponsored by Career Services, the Office of Alumni Relations, Sodexho Corporation, and local businesses. Seating is limited, so email careers@carroll.edu today!

Christian Ministry in the Parks-campus visit10:00 am - 3:00 pm
CUBE LOBBY

A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) representative will be on campus today in the CUBE lobby from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Every summer they place 250 undergraduate and seminary students in 28 different National Parks. These Christian leaders work a full time job in hospitality and, with a team, plan and lead weekly church services on site at their National Park. I would love to have a chance to share this ministry with the students at Carroll. I would just need a space to set up my information table in a high traffic area on campus.
