Carroll’s Vezina takes weekly honor

Carroll College sophomore wide receiver Tucker Vezina was named the Frontier Conference special teams player of the week after recording two unassisted tackles on kick return and forcing one fumble, which led to the Saints' winning touchdown over Rocky Mountain College.

The Frontier defensive player of the week is sophomore defensive back J.T. Fitzgerald of Rocky Mountain. In Rocky's 34-27 loss to Carroll, Fitzgerald recorded nine solo tackles, six assisted tackles and one tackle for loss.

Sophomore running back Charlie Dotson of Montana Western was named the offensive player of the week for his performance in Montana Western's 24-13 win over Montana State-Northern. Dotson rushed for 136 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries.
