He holds M.A. degrees in philosophy from St. Louis University and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He also holds an M.A./S.T.L. and Ph.D./S.T.D. from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. His special interests include: systematic/fundamental theology, continental philosophy, philosophical and theological ethics, philosophy of religion, hermeneutics.

Dr. Christopher Fuller

Dr. Fuller earned his Ph.D. at Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif., where he concentrated on blending biblical studies with film studies. His B.A. is in Mass Media Communications from UCLA and his M.A. is in Biblical Studies from the Graduation Theological Union. 

From 1995 until his hiring at Carroll, Dr. Fuller taught at Saint Mary's College of California near San Francisco. He also served as a campus minister at Saint Mary's College of California from 1994 until his hiring at Carroll.

Dr. James Cross

Dr. Cross earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology with a concentration in Moral Theology from Duquesne University. He earned his M.A. from the School of Theology of Seton Hall University. Originally from New Jersey, he entered the teaching profession in 1990.

Dr. Cross' research interests include the relationship between sacraments and the moral life. He is also a co-convener in the College Theology Society.

Dr. Brian Matz

Following an early career in the business world, Dr. Matz earned a Th.M. in Historical Theology from Dallas Seminary, a Ph.D. in Historical Theology/Early Christianity from Saint Louis University, and a Ph.D. and S.T.D. in social ethics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Prior to coming to Carroll, he was a research fellow with the Centre for Catholic Social Thought at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

His special interests include: history of Christianity and social ethics.
